I am certain that project based learning is one of the best ways for young people to learn. My experiences with the West Philly Hybrid X-Team and Philadelphia Student Union have taught me this.

Last year, I was at the point of dropping out due to some personal issues and my lack of interest in school. I didn’t go to the majority of my classes except for my auto shop class and failed two classes because of it. Getting work done faster than other people left me bored. I didn’t have any choice in what I was learning. I didn’t feel challenged and I had a hard time conforming to a classroom setting.
